The result of my latest foray into the damp garden shed at the bottom of the garden.A cheap and cheerfull Chinese preamp bought for less than £5 that I mounted into a fake cigar cum vanity case that my skin and blister bought for me at a boot fair.I had to make a surround for the preamp as the box wasn't quite deep enough for it (even though I measured it!).Another point of interest is the stain on the surround which I made from inserting a wire wool pad and two teabags into a jar of red wine vinegar.I let it stew for a week,strained it off and bob's your uncle,a great stain for any type of wood.The more you put on,the darker it get's...Oh,and the preamp works great...
