Birch heal, maple. Iroko and other mystery woods for support. CB Gitty maple fretted neck.

Been a long time since I felt up to building. The drive is always there, but always thought, "tomorrow will be better". Noticed a little while back it's been a year since I built a three-string. Gotta grit my teeth and get to it.

I put this one on hold while I make a few last-minute changes to the original design I had in mind. I rarely have a plan when I start other than a basic idea of what I want out of it. My original plan for this one didn't pan out, so while I'm trying to decide what route I want to take with this one, I started the Punch guitar for my matching combo guit and amp. I know what I am going to do with it. Punch electric with a home-made scatter-wound.

Thank you Bob. I'm taking this one nice and slow. Trying for as nice as I can get with this one. .

Looking good, you're back in the game! Look forward to seeing the end product.

Thanks Jerry! My bench usually starts off a lot neater when I start a project and gets more chaotic as I go along. This is right before a "I can't stand this anymore!" moment and start cleaning up again.

I've read awhile back that these things need weight in the box to balance them for a strap and weight can also add to the sustain. Funny thing is, I play seated and after four years and about twenty total builds, I have yet to put a strap button on one. Thought I might as well make it strong if it were gonna be heavier than normal...  We'll see...

Nice pic., makes me want to build a box., 2020 has been a slow year for building in my shop, with virus mania taking over.,  I really like your bench organization., makes me feel right at home.,., ;)
