    Hey bone,
Thanks for the invite to the fiddlers group. I dont know much about bowed instruments. So I dont think I can be a helpful part of the group. But again thank You.

Thanks Bone for the kind words. I'm real proud of the kid. The frets are made from windshield wiper inserts. I cut the slots with a mini-hacksaw and leveled them by eye.

    Bone,

Figured you needed to know. Ted had no dead wife and kid. Apparently it's an inside joke Ted Started back when. We weren't busting on Ted. Really. Shane was telling me about the joke. Jo, bless her heart took it seriously.

Hey Bones - thanks for the comment on Can't be Satisfied. I appreciate it!
  • Confuzzled

Yeah, you remembered ... I did make a license-plate stomper with a pickup inside. But hey, do I then go on a rampage because somebody else did it too? NOPE, that's for bullies. :-))

And please don't be afraid to mention my name in front of Ted, I haven't ceased to exist just because he says so.

It may be that our role on this planet is not to worship Ted Crocker, but to create him. Seriously, he has no idea who anyone is, least of all himself.

  • kingpckle

thanks for the nice comments! I actually used a cheap woodburning tool from Walnut Grove, with the mini flow tip (totally rounded).  One of them actually snapped off I burned with it so long.  Each side took about 8 hours to burn.  It helped that I'm a professional artist because I had never actually done any woodburning.  The designs were manipulated and then printed off the computer, transfered with graphite paper, then burned.
  • James O'Connor

hey ,the radiator worked!! but i only noticed now that the sides are warped too... So here goes the same process
  • John Peña

I went down to my local music store and purchased a set of

Hi Bones,  Don't know if you get notified so thought I'd comment on your wall too.  Thanks for the advice Bones, (my Punch box)looks a lot better now.  I loaded up new pics.  I finally checked out your pics and that's what I should have done in the first place!  You have the aging thing down to an art!  Looks like you've been at it for a while too.  I love your designs....dude!  Off the hook man!  I'll be checking out your vids next and checking back often!
  • JP Swenson

You are most welcome...I was starting to get nervous that I was doing too much!   Problem is, I still haven't gotten through ALL of your pictures!!  Which, I fully intend to do!  Adios.
  • Todd 'T-Bone' Boyd

Bone-ified, great to have met you yesterday @ the Sunriver event!  My wife knew I was excited because I barely touched that beer I was holding!!  Look forward to talking to you soon,  T-Bone

  • JP Swenson

Tonight I became awakened.....I spent time looking at your work from 2009.   Consider me your disciple.   I don't remember being so inspired or of being set free artistically ever before.  This may sound silly to you but I mean it most sincerely.  I immediately went out to my shop to start my new life and if you look at the three pictures I loaded as a tribute to you and your work, I think you'll recognize you have influenced me deeply.  I hope you don't feel that I'm knocking off your work or style.....I would never try to duplicate what you do.....I don't have enough creativity and skill to do it justice anyway.   It's just so much more interesting, rewarding....everything!  I have a theory that you were at the same crossroads as Robert Johnson.....you got creativity.
  • olds sleeper

thanks for the cool feedback bonehead...i find your designs and builds inspiring as well...you are an incredible artist as well, and its a pleasure to know ya...
  • Braxton Nagle

Thanks buddy, appreciate it. I designed a custom MIDI guitar to create some really cool fx and sounds instead of using the standard MIDI keyboard.

Hi Steve!  I think I will definitely be taking you up on your offer for help from time to time. Besides, it's so convenient, you're just down the road! :)  Did you see how many comments I got about how beautiful the guitar is?  It truly is beautiful and all of those complements are really meant for you!  So glad I decided to get it.  I haven't been able to put it down since!
