Hey Steve, Thanks for the comment! I'm glad someone's enjoying that TAB. I was considering whether or not to put more up because I wasn't sure if anyone was even looking at it. Thanks!

Steve, the bottle currently is held in place by double stick tape....works fine but I'm going to probably epoxy it down solid...
  • Tom Lanford

Steve - thanks for the comment! The starburst was actually a bit of an accident afterthought, but that's often when some of the most fun stuff happens I think. Keep looking, I hope to have some more stuff up this evening.
  • Doug Thorsvik

Steve, thanks for the positive feedback. I see from the photos you have posted you have not tried a dulcimer style instrument yet. This was my first and it is surprisingly fun and easy to improvise on; I am really getting a kick out of playing it. Have fun. Doug

Steve glad you found those piezo's (it a great deal ) You may even be able to use the magnets for pickups too -Don't know if they would work or not?? Love that Diddley bow you made ...You have some great looking stuff .... would like to hear a sample .... How hard is it to build those pickups ,would like to try some, just don't know where to start...
  • Mark C

Hi Steve, yes G-Dec is good fun. Not my own setting, I must admit. It's the good old 'Rockin G-Dec'. In the vid, you can hear the background howl off the piezo pickup, but I just played over it. I sometimes use a preamp booster pedal to control (with varying degrees of success) the howl which always seems to accompany to more extreme settings.

I've been looking at your stuff, nice work! I'm just going to comment on one of your old photos in a minute, it's got me intriuged. See you. Mark

Hey Steve! - Thanks for all the nice comments on the recent build. I think you'll really like working with that box. It does have a nice thick wall for support, but the top & bottom are thin enough for good resonance. Good luck. Can't wait to see the photos when it's done. Take care! - Tom
  • Bruce

Hi Steve, thanks for your comment. Nice to meet you and find such a strong PA group!

hey steve thank you for the comment it very appereciated. some time I would like to pic your brain about a non thru neck design complete with picup, however Im unsure how to attach the neck securely you have some nice stuff here on your site.
  • Chris Ballard

Thanks Steve. I will have to look up that vinegar/steel wool stain. I happen to have both items here.lol. The door striker sure looks easier than cutting and modifying a hinge.
