I should have mentioned string tree's, in that, if you utilize them careful consideration of place will better allow the git to be used R or L.  Cheers.

Doug, You are right, about ending up with a bunch of lefty builds prototype/experiments. I just hold on to them and play them every now and then, I just cannot bear to strip them for parts. Eventually I will find other lefties to gift them to.

Honestly, all of what I know about build CBG's I learned primarily from Shane Speal, Uncle Crow, John "RedDog" McNair, and Chickenbone John, and I picked things from each of these prolific builders to incorporate into my builds. Each of these have somewhat different styles/approach, but the end result is the same: a fine sounding CBG.

Cheers, and a have a stellar new year.

Hey Doug, it is possible to make a passive octave pedal from a pickup & some diodes, but it will be randomly fuzzy & glitchy without any warning. A polyphonic octave pedal is what you want, but the downside to octave pedals is their high pricing? Mooer makes some economical pedals like the pure octave, tender octave & purer octave witch all do a clean  low & high octave effect for under $100, most others are $200+ Cheers:)
