Hi Folks, This is the group to share everything about the three string guitar.
If you have had problems in the past playing regular guitar, try playing a three string guitar, they are much easier and the have a vintage sound that is super unique and easy to capture that old school blues sound.
There is another website on the net that has a lot more 3 string guitar information. Here is the link to the website 3-string-guitar.com

move the bridge a hair up, or the nut slots down, it usally becuse the string are too high and as you fret it it sharpens the note, but it can be used to your advantage giving the music a really gritty awesome sound, you just have to lower the nut, or bring the bridge forward, hevier string will mean you have to tune it up to a highr note to sound better.
I am having intonation issues on my latest build. What is the "process of elimination" you all use as you research issues like this? I copied the fretboard off another CBG I have and it is about exactly the same. Playing slide is fine over the frets, but playing on the fretboard not so much. The bridge is angled slightly. I could lower the action some, and I am thinking about going to heavier strings (all nickle wound as opposed to one wound and two plain).
Scraps and spares
Anyone know how to play "Preachin Blues" on the 3 string?
Sam beat me to this one, LOL! Get the wife or GF to sew a long zipper where the inseam, half crotch, and waist is. Use the other leg to make a strap, doubled over for strength. Goodwill has lots of jeans cheap.
I think I'd check on some of the dulcimer and/or strum stik bags, some of them might work.
the jeans thing is good....also try a 3/4 electric guitar gig bag...they fit like a glove an can be bought for about 20 bucks on ebay
