suspect device is right, they look cool sometimes but can impact the sound.  i use them almost exclusively on my resonator builds, which are affected less by them.

plus, they frame the resonator cones well.

if you are worried about bracing for structural reasons, maybe glue some wood inside on the corners.  chances are that you have tons of little pieces of scrap wood laying around that will work swimmingly!  on some of my mandolins, i have even used those kerfed strips that are inside "real" guitars.  like this:

Are you referring to the brass or nickel box corners? They do tend to give the cbg a more "finished" look. Plus, I suppose more shiny bling and crap will catch a customer's eye. But anything you stick on the lid is going to have am impact  on the resonance, (not to mention, more hardware that you gotta match.) I only use them on paper-covered or trimmed boxes, just to protect the corners. I like the low-profile ones that Gitty sells

Hello all, I have a question regarding corner braces. Are they worth the investment of putting them on the box? Have any of you noticed an increase/decrease of sales depending on whether the guitar has corner braces or not? Thanks in advance.

That is very reasonable!

Cool, thanks!

In the $45-$55 range. All were acoustic 3 stringers. I based the price on the quality of the tuners and whether or not they were fretted.

"Reasonable" as in...how much???   $$$  :)

I have sold some (3) on c-list, but, I have found the price  needs to be "reasonable", (You can translate that to cheap, if you want). The buyers all seemed happy with what they got and I got paid in cash.

Axe, I would like a reply to that one too!

Has anyone had any luck selling locally on craigslist?
