Watched Reginald D Hunter on catch up, I really enjoyed his trip cross the South, can't wait to see the next two programmes! I started tapping along with the flat footing towards the end of the programme, what I liked was the fact that they are real people enjoying real music with none of the hype associated with the mainstream music scene! Plain, honest people, enjoying plain honest music!

hi Danny, many tutorials here on the Nation, many by Shane Speal, Chickenbone John and on youtube Keni Lee Burgess and Mike Snowden, they should teach you plenty to get started!  :-)

just came across this group. my name is danny and i live in herts.
i have just made my first cbg from a hardwood pallet. i glued some slats together and planed them down to aprrox 6mm thick to form the box and glued two slats together for the (fretless) neck. just got to learn how to play it now as i have no musical experience.
can you guys recommend any good tutorials for total novices.

think i emailed all members with this post by mistake.
