Damn I missed boxstock again whats the world coming to when you keep your nose to the grindstone and your shoulder to the wheel well besides looking funny anyway I am bummed but will have to make a commitment to being there next year

Never made a lap steel so I am unable to suggest the best method to use, but there are a couple of groups with lots of photos to look at for ideas tucked away on CBN

Looking at the piece of wood you have I recall Juju made a great looking lap steel based on a similar slab of wood.

I have a lovely piece of ash with nice grain I want to make a lapsteel does any one have any alternative ways of installing tuning pegs in a plank

Ahoy there mateys.......held a nice little guitar building course yesterday on the rather splendid LV21 - an old Lightship moored at Gillingham Pier in Kent. Really good group who all seemed to have a grand old time. And check out their handywork! All guitars nicely decorated which, when stood next to each other, form a lovely panoramic shot of the River Medway. And they sounded pretty damn good too. Well done everybody - keep spreading the noise!
