Of course there's room for folk/celtic etc. "There are no rules" applies to genres as well as builds. Although I'm a blues oriented player on the whole, I also love a lot of the ambient chill-out soundscape stuff and seem to be heading there with my own music. Of course the cigar box guitar will be utilised heavily. Variety is the spice of life.
