I'm suprized at the lack of activity in here. I thought this would be one of the busiest groups. So anyway, my latest build is from wood saved from the trash trucks grip. Over 100 yr old black…Continue

Well it just wouldn't sound the same without a good jelly jar! Good pickens.

I had some how missed this group, but realized soon after it was my people, just built a diddly bow from a former concrete mold 2x4, an empty homemade jelly jar and a mysterious Emily Cannon guitar.

My latest, box, tailpiece, tuners, scavenged from roadside. The stings, bridge, and jack were given to me by friends. Reso from thrift shop for .50. I did buy the corners, hinges wood and frets.

Hi, new to the site. I built my first two boxes out of Wood from a cedar chest found in the dumpster (laminated strips, handcarved into the necks you see on my page), mom's sauce pot tops for resonator cones, and mom's old alumin pot rest for the pickup mount/biscuit top/ also cut up and scavenged parts from old Kay and Harmony brok down guitars. And of course, disgarded cigar boxes.

When do we get the results? Who won? Is there an awards ceremony with live music?
