Back Yard Farmington Romeos..................

from Wednesday onward......my two teens have been barraged with homework , schedules and Syllabuses, permission slips, meeting new teachers, Band practices, and more. I've got one beginning high school, and one ending it, 9/12..Today, I drove them to/from , I hemmed marching band uniforms, I filled out forms, made phone calls, spent $ I did not have on school costs shouldered by the parent. And more.......
Assignments,,,,,,,we all got em! :-) I also found DOWN time today, ........and that is playing music...just now, not playing the cigar box at all, but the uke......hammering out a sloppy cover.
back to this notion:

Here is an "idea" assignment:
this is just for fun........:
Take bestillroys nice group title, and turn it into a song.......
Here might be the first coupla lines:

Ev-ry Bodys ne-ver heard
of the Back Yard
Farm-ing-ton Ro-me-os.............

(bangin on some strings, and a box and
some hardware
not too fast, and not too slow...etc

I write lyrics often, based on an imagined music line, and
a sing song rhythm/beat That's why you see I break it down into syllables,, it can also dictate the rhythm for me, sometimes words are first, sometimes the opposite... I like to employ a play on words and so "never" appears, to create a lead in "everybodys never"..OR..
"sitting in the yard out back, "
it's the.............back yard Romeos

etc........




lotsa options,
Verse Verse Chorus, Verse Verse Chorus,
Bridge .....Verse , Verse Chorus, end
I'll check back tomorrow and see if any thot this was interesting out loud musing, or maybe not;-) add a verse! I'm calling it a day.....

I've join'ed Y'all,..but what about the Juliets? I had a good long spell of listening to Bob Dylan in his later years.......realized his songs were nothing but common phrases strung together (in a wonderful BD sorta way).......Mowing is a great time for songwriting.......and always write it down--I forget things so easily......even just the bearest of ideas, of one word, one line......cause it might grow, later, into something more...... own up dry spells, I get em, got one now.....LOL........open a folder for lyrics, and add to it often......build on true circumstances and occasions...I really DID wake up the the new Prez asking everyone to volunteer......his first public service announcement.,........gotta run.....
