I've lived in Northern California all my life just about, with a small stint on Grandfolks Cherry farm in Salem Oregon.....in the late 60s.
I've never lived in Southern CA. thanks fer yer comment lourie lee bout the wirespool fretless banjo vid. the reason it sounds like it do i believe is cause i used wound nylon strings.course the metal from the tin wirespool also gives it that fat kinda tone too,thanks again.
