Anyone know what this might be? Ranges from black to grey and yellowish, some brownish red hues as well. I was thinking mahogany but isn't that more overall redish?

Some sticks are really dark and then fade into these lighter colors abruptly.

If it floats in water then it's a boat.

If it burns, then it's firewood.

If it stacks, then it's cordwood.

If it is heavy, then it's ironwood.

Um, I have no further testing criteria.  Sorry I couldn't help.

"If it floats in water then it's a boat."

Not necessarily. Could be...a witch!

Or very small rocks.

But it's most likely: a duck.

The Larch.

The Larch.
"A Shrubbery!"

Haha, yeah, It's somekind of wood....we know that. So I showed a few people and one friend said goncala alves, or walnut, but it doesn't smell like walnut. Or Indian rosewood? Weird wood. I'll have better pics tonight.

it looks like Iroko to me dose it have a waxy feel to it and pretty heavy ?

Hey juju, they feel like walnut. Not really waxy and not too heavy like bolivian rosewood, more like the weight of walnut as well. They smell like rosewood when cut though. I might take some in to a wood shop and see what they think.

When you say sticks, about what dimension are they? Looks like a nice fretboard.

They are all at least 1.5" wide and 10 feet long. I have at least 15 sticks. I'd say I have plenty....lol. they are really nice and a few necks made out of them would look good too.

almost looks like zebra wood to me ,,  here's a shot of my zebra  wood   freat board

pick,

Are those your bobby pin frets? Ni-iiicccee.

yup  ..  but i guess  the proper term  for the longer ones  is "roller  pins "
