This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Made a Jenga set with neck size blocks - 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" oak. I had a bunch of odd pieces laying around. Sort of big but not massive like the 2x4 ones. Couple coats of truoil and they looked and worked great.

Always good to hear that someone made something useful out of scraps.

Here's the pics I snapped the other day of my diddley bass build...

Decided to change from this Comacho to an Undercrown box. I always seem to use Undercrowns, but it has more room for counterweight....

The headstock is recut and reshaped already. Hurricane bolt replace with hose clamp, and getting a real bass tuner. Going to put a yard stick fretboard on top of the pick axe handle to help raise the action so I can play it fretless.

Need to chisel the pickup out of the neck, and get to work on the box and fretboard...

Nice.

Just watch it on how material you cut away. If your removing a lot of material, you may need to add some wings for stability.

That should turn out nice.

Looks great, love the scripted plate and knobs. Are you liking the pickup? Also, does a switch involve a piezo or Esquire Switching?

This will be a 3 string acoustic/electric, 25" scale, 17 frets, reverb springs, poplar neck, walnut stained oak fretboard, fret dots, piezo. I really like the look of the oak fret board. The SGI cbg had it also.

I still have a few things to get finished.

Looks great Lonman. Your going to like the springs, I love the tone they add.

I Have a single coil and a pizeo under the bridge

Has the piezo had a hum cancelling effect on the single coil pickup? I'm asking because I wired 2 singles and a piezo on a 5-way switch and the single coils 60 cycle hum disappeared, wondering if it had something to do with the piezo.
