It reminds me it may be time to relinquish
my grandfathers shoe polish tin of it's life as a
Storage tin.....for brushed and old shoe polish....

It looks sturdy it might hold a neck. I'm thinking mag pickup in the neck possition. Like a S.W. 

John you could  ask the question Do you wipe back to front or front to back and it would make top content.
