I'm very proud of my second CBG, pictured below. The build took about 2 and a half weeks, off and on. Honestly, it ain't perfect, but it's a far cry from my first prototype build.

It's only 95 percent done; I still have to cut 2 sound holes when my hole-cutter attachments arrive in the mail this week. I will then cover the holes with drain strainers I found in the plumbing section of the hardware store (pictured above, uninstalled).

The headstock:

The learning curve was steep, but i like my newfound hobby!

Hi, Overall it looks good. I do have one minor quibble, the string spacing is off both at the nut and the bridge.

I know. Next time it will be fixed. Not an expert just yet...
LOL, I know, the devil is in the details. Good job, could you remake the nut and saddle?

The nut is actually a plastic one i bought off eBay. Lesson learned: those Chinese imports aren't always the way to go!
Unless it's from Stewmac (Stewart-MacDonald Guitar supply)  just avoid precut nuts and plastic altogether.  There is a certain amount of satisfaction and patience to be had by learning to, and cutting your own nut.  But hey, the first box I got as a preset before building my pwn had a screw bolt far a nut.

Great job, the first ones aren't the best but they are the sweetest, you can always replace the nut later if you want, the 6 th string looks like it might be a bit high but if it plays for you that's what counts. I like the head stock not a beginners job so good on Ya.

                                Cheers Ron.

Thanks, Mungo, but in all honesty, this build was close to a year ago. I've progressed pretty far since then.
