bassically I just want to know which side of the piezo to glue to the box lid? as ive not been told any different my insticts tell me that the ceramic side is where the sound is picked up so this should be fixed to the lid on the other hand the metal side is smooth and would be easier to glue so do I want it ceramic side up or down? when i say up i mean like sunny side up so when i open my lid i can see it looking at me or should it be down as in metal side is vissable when glued? sorry if this seems stupid this will be my first build with piezo.

cheers

I glue the brass side down.

I use brass side down, but it really doesn't matter. I use hot glue to glue it down, then smother it with hot glue to anchor the wires so then don't come loose, and to help isolate the peizo so it doesn't feed back so much.
