Cigar box phenom, Justin Johnson returns to the PA CBG Fest with an outdoor concert in Cherry Lane (behind the Central Market House). Get your lunch at the market and join Justin for some mindblowing cigar box guitar pyrotechnics. more info

THURSDAY NIGHT - LIVE IN CONCERT AND STREAMING ONLINE!!!


Christian rock and blues legend, Glenn Kaiser will perform a special live-and-up-close concert with Shane Speal at the York Emporium Bookstore this Thursday at 8pm.  The concert will be filmed and streamed live online.  (The link to the concert will be posted on the front page of www.ShaneSpeal.com as soon as we get it.)  The show will also be broadcast live on local TV station, WRCT!

Be part of the Cigar Box Guitar meet-and-greet on Friday night.  Bring your favorite cigar box guitar and jam with others.  Meet CBG authors, David Sutton, Bill Jehle and Mike Orr and get autographed copies of their books.  Toss down a few brews and finally shake hands with all those great musicians you've met at Cigar Box Nation.

The world's largest cigar box guitar/homemade instrument festival, featuring 14 acts on two stages, vendors, demonstrations and more. AND IT'S ALL 100% FREE!  The fest takes place on Saturday, August 24, 2013, the same day as YORKFEST, the fine arts/crafts fair in downtown York. The streets will be alive with music, art and culture. Bring the kids and make a day of it.

SHANE SPEAL DEBUTS THE FULL THEATRICAL DEBUT OF THE SNAKE OIL BAND!  Special concer at the New Grounds Roasting Co (just 1/2 a block from the Cigar Box Fest).  It's a modern incarnation of the old snake oil show, featuring cigar box guitars, washboards, homemade instruments and flying rubber chickens.  Open act: Gerry Thompson's "Killing Aunt Grace."   Tickets are just $5 and available from Shane at the fest or at the door.   More info
