Moreland and Arbuckle, Flood. CD, review from "The West Australian" newspaper

When you hear a lot of new music, its so exciting to find an album which turns you upside down, inside out and if your driving a car at the time, having to be very careful about speed and that oncoming lamppost. Four albums in, this American trio's raw and honest Delta Blues, roots, vintage rock, trad country, bluegrass and soul swamp stew is driven as it is sexy. Blowing away any cobwebs of traditionalism, if Morphine or even Black Stone Cherry had southern country cousins, this could be them. Vocalist Dustin Arbuckle's harp mouth wails incisively as a lead instrument, Aaron Moreland's guitar - made from a cigar box and four strings - vibrates right into your chest as Brad Horner drives his drums right down the tracks of salvation. It's really off the grid. Their cover of traditional Legend of John Henry is dark, spine-tingling and moves like a freight train. From rodhouse jams to juke-joint party music, volume is manditory.

Though you might be interested in what a Aussie would have to say....

Guess its copyright Ara Jansen from "The West  Australian"  but hey , had to let the Nation ( world ) know that Aussies are into it too  !!!
