So im starting my second CGB build. Ive got my box picked out. It doesnt have a latch on it just two hinges on one side. I like to be able to open the box back up if need. So i dont wanna glue it shut. I need to find a latch. So heres the problem: The box ive decided to use has a gap between the top and bottom. Its about 5-6 mm. I need a latch that is long enough to cover the gap. Ive looked at some of the local stores with no luck.

Any suggestion on where i might find a latch for my box?

Heres a pic of the gap:

I like the screw idea. Something I thought about was securing magnets to the top and bottom, and using the magnets to hold it shut. Something like these:

No, I'm not selling them, just where I found some.

Seems like it could be pretty cool, like an "invisible latch", but you would have to be careful, if they are thick enough that they touch when the box is closed, you may have trouble finding glue that will "win" when compared to the magnets. if you can keep a 1/16" or so between them, then they ought to hold well, and still separate when you want them to, maybe a thin piece of neoprene between them?

Have fun.
Thanks Naz ;)

I screw all my boxes closed too cuts down on uwanted rattles. If I need to get into it later it's easy to remove four screws then if it's glued ( the learning lessons of first builds)

Countersunk washers is what you're after ... http://www.leevalley.com/us/hardware/page.aspx?c=&cat=3,41306,4...
