Tinyguitars was just posting previous information, so I don't think you can lay anything at Tiny's feet (according to ...).

tiny guitars posted a fear based religious message, and i was amused. I respect EVERYONE's belief as a matter of personal reflection, but when they start insinuating that hell is involved for the others,....well....i get a bit irked.

fear of hell is not a true motivation for belief, reward is not a true motivation for belief....these are both acts of self-preservation...which to me, is egomaniacal and just plain fuct.

If you don't believe in God thats completely up to you, Tiny was just trying to share in what he believes and what he thinks all should know. Who are we suppose to believe God or man. After all the god of this world has more influance on man, because all he wants to do is destroy all the goodness of what God in heaven has in store for us. We can't earn our way to heaven it's a free gift, Jesus has already paid the price for you and me and everyone else. Jesus would never force us to follow him, but he does send along many in our lives in hopes that some day we will understand what he is saying. Man alone messes up the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
But in the book of John chapter 3, verses 16-18 basicly says the whole message of God.
Verse 16: For God loved so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have ever lasting life.
Verse 17: For God sent not send his Son into the world to condem the world; but that the world through him we might be saved.
Verse 18: He that believes on him is not condemed: but he that believes not is condemed already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Who are we suppose to believe and follow man or God. If you don't believe hell thts fine but you will when you are eternally seperated from the goodness of God, that is the hell in the bible. Being totally and eternally seperated from God.

again....i respect everyones belief....but the desire to save others from hell is a form of self idolatry and self righteousness that comes with the myth. i am not attacking anyone...i just wanted to extend the conclusion that the MAN set forth... my personal and spiritual relationship with the divine does not involve scaring others into accepting what i believe. seriously. no offense.

i believe in living, loving, and strumming.

I realize that folks of certain religious beliefs seem compelled to "share the good news" with others and to "witness" and proselytize.

Just seems to me that a site devoted to cigar box guitars isn't the most appropriate place for such....
