I haven't had much trouble with 60 cycle hum (or feedback besides) since I started burying my pizeos in a gob of hot glue.

i dont know much about pizeos but in a typical electic i would say thats a grounding issue.

Yes, solder a wire between the ground of the pot to the bridge, or any metal part which may have contact with the strings....

In my experience you shouldnt need to ground a piezo if its wired straight to the jack - Id check ya solder points!
