Gain doesn’t work
I just finished up an Arturo Fuente box with a mini hum bucker, volume and tone pot. Seems to work fine except when I switch it to gain oh my amp, it has no distortion. Every other one I’ve made, when I put it on the gain setting on the amp, it’s all funked-up and distorted. The way it should be. This one doesn’t really distort at all, no gain. Does anybody have any idea of what I should look for to change it/fix it? Thanks

could be the output of the mini humbucker is not enough to drive the preamp of your amp hard enough to distort. does it distort if you adjust the gain on the distort channel? if not you might need to use a boost pedal.

Not sure if this will help your troubleshooting, but I build low to medium Z(50-200 ohms), scatterwound pickups and get distortion through a Micro-Cube on clean settings and my LM386-based amp. Hope that helps.
