Eleven inch box. 25.5 inch scale. It might not look purdy, but it can be done.

Hi, I have built 3 CBGs using strat necks and found wooden slide boxes (for 35mm film slides) to be ideal. The ones which hold 175 slides are 12 x 9 x 2.5 inches. They come up fairly often on ebay and I paid about £6 to £8 including postage for each one.

see if you can find the brown or black Gof of Fire boxes. They ar the longest I have seen and use them for baritone etc..

Now, that's a big box. Looks like you could make a bass out of it. I have a biggish Cohiba box "waiting" at a local store, they promise to call me when it's empty...
