I had a cbg I made and really never played, it had a peizo, and I had another one I really never played, and it had a pickup.....so I took the one with the pickup apart and took the one with the peizo apart and I liked the license plate cover I had on the one, and it was a smaller scale body, so I stuck with it.  I added a new peizo from one of my window alarm buzzers that I had hot glued inside some thick felt pads....I hooked up the pickup and stuck it on the under side of the top plate....I added some switches so I could turn the whole thing off, then I could turn on my pickup and play it, then I had another switch to the peizo so I could shut it on and off....well, I got it hooked up, tested it out, and went to put everything back together.   Once everthing was said and done I went for a test, the switch to the pickup was not shuting it off, it was staying on.  Then it seemed my peizo switch was working, not able to figure out what was gong on, I just cut the switches off, thinking, well.  I will just play the pick up for now, and leave the peizo in there for another time.  It was geting late and the garage was geting cold, so I just cut the wires like I said and shoved the wires into the box and brought it inside.  I hooked it up to my big amp with my pedal and now, it is giving me this really good dirty sound.  It sounds like my pickup is working and so is my peizo., because it will cause some feed back if I turn it up to loud.  I really can not tell.  So, did I discover a new sound for me if this works out?  What the heck did I do wrong I wonder.   Now, I think I need to take it apart again and re-think the wiring.  I might just ditch the switches all together and just play it like this.  Anyone ever tried a peizo with a pickup?  How did it sound?

Well, I figured out why my wound pickup was not turning off, and why my peizo worked fine. I used a jumper wire on my pickup between to of the other wires and it was leading to the wires I was using to shut off my pickup...so the switch was just there for no reason. Needless to say, I have unhooked all the switches and I hooked everything back. So now I just have a peizo and a pick in this rig. It sounds AWESOME! I can not belive I have never tried it before. Nice thing is, I can turn on the distortaion and rock out and turn it off and really rock out peizo style.
