I am so stoked over all the many prizes being offered up for the festivals contest winners. Believe when I say they are amazing. However, being partial to things to build guitars with. I myself am friggin jazzed over these flat pups that just arrive all the way from Austria! Thanks to our good friend Elmar Original Flat Pups there are waiting for that lucky winning entry. Believe me, Gary and I wish we could win one of these babies, but we can not participate. So these, along with many other prizes will be presented in one of the three categories. Good Luck!

Update on vender booths. We have 15 slots still available, meaning 5 vender's are already registered. 

Note: if you are wanting a canvas canopy as part of the rental, you'll need to commit before May 1, 2013. in order for us to order them.

BUILDERS CONTEST

 

This contest will consist of three (3) categories, 3 string guitar

                                                                                        6 string guitar

                                                                                       Ukulele.

All instruments must be registered and presented with builders name attached to the instrument.

All builders participating in contest should have your instrument entered before 2:30.

Instruments will be judged on appearance, construction, creativity, originality, and playability.

Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in these three categories.

The first place winners of the three categories will then compete for the grand prize.

Judging by a three judge panel will begin at 3:00. First and second place winners will be awarded prizes after first round is complete.

Judging for the grand prize will begin at 4:30. The grand prize winner will be announced upon completion of judging.

All instruments are to be picked up before 5:00. (With the exception of grand prize competitors.)

We remind you to please be considerate of others instruments, your friends have worked just as hard as you, in building their guitars.

Another word to all interested in this cigar box festival. We still need support raising money for prize giveaways, we're doing this by charging vender space, poster art, T-shirt sales, all this raises money to cover basic cost.

We are always happy when builders and suppliers donate in any capacity and in exchange we are more than happy to hang banners, flyers and announce them professionally when prizes are handed off to winning party. We will have a local radio DJ doing all announcements and presentations.

To date for prizes we have: -  $150. combo amp or choice of store credit

                                        -  Analog delay pedal

                                         - gold plated humbuckers

                                         - Elmar flat pick ups

Waiting on more sponsors expected to participate. Any of you builders want to be a part of this let us know please. We're hoping for a guitar that will make history at this event!
