[QUESTION] Magnetic Resonator pickup choice (wickedbucker, floating jazz or hotplate)

Hey y'all,
I chose to ask this question here rather than the Reso Hangout forum, since I get the impression over there they are a little less DIY (erhm budget minded) when it comes to gear. Makes since, you got an expensive antique instrument, really, what is a $200 dollar pickup investment at that point? Whereas I bought a cheapie Asian biscuit style resonator.

Question: Between a Wickedbucker ,floating jazz neck pup or hotplate (maybe with a lipstick pup, lawd knows I got a few)
What would you guys choose to at least retain some semblance of resonator tone?

I play in a fairly aggressive punk/ ____billy band with about 1-3 songs in the set that would require slide, so minimal adj between guitar changes would be preferable

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm open to other (possibly DIY) suggestions like: drilling a hole in a piezo disk or something and connecting to the bottom of the cone
just want something that works for my application and won't break the bank

All you suggest would work, however I am budget minded too., A rod piezo in the biscuit, with a little preamp would capture the reso sound well.,.,for me, I'd go with a flatbucker made for 6 string, and when I say flatbucker, I mean the brand of your choice. Probably 10 or makers build a good product. So a flatpup, or wicked bucker, or what ever brand suits you.,.,I am uber frugal, so I buy the MGB version, probably made in China.,,.plenty of good ones built in the USA.,.,

Thanks for the fast reply Jerry, and awesome name (My Dad's name)!

I have a few rods floating around from standard acoustics and whatnot, however this is my first Reso

How would you mount it to the biscuit?

normally the rod goes right under the saddle, just like an acoustic .,.,hole in the middle of the saddle slot for the wire, that threads thru the cone. Something similar if you have a spider cone .,
