I used my dad's old can and bottle opener to open this banged up can. When the can made that whoosh open sound it brought back vivid memories of my dad. He carried that opener with his WW II dog tags and U.P. railroad switch keys. He was a railroad switchman. And he may have liked to open a refreshing can or bottle after a work day.

A direct connection back through family history that you are lucky to have,  Uncle John. I use tools from Dad & both grandpas, one grandma's kitchen utensils and the other one's sewing box - tons of memories...

Nice. I carry one of my dad's pocket knives and think of him every time I use it.
