1st cbg

Finished my first cbg last week. Looks pretty good but sounds like crap. I had to restring it several times until I got it right. Any suggestions? Also, I can't play a guitar, would that have anything to do with it?

I changed strings and tunings on mine a few times until I found a sound that I liked. I settled on open G tuning G D d. It might help to play guitar. I explore the sound of an instrument and build on what works.
