I have an all the way through neck design. I've cut slots in the box both sides to fit the neck in. The box is fairly deep and has some interesting support chambers inside already. The box is a wooden tea box.
I dint have in front of me or I'd snap a pic. Do I just glue the neck to the two slot areas on the box and then once that dries glue the lid? The support beams (chambers inside the box sit lower than where the lid is. Hope this makes sense and just trying to figure how to attach the neck to the box. Thank you.

Box looks like this with a free lid like this one but the wood is not as thick in general. There are 3 sections in the box kinda like this one.

Dont glue the neck in, don't glue the lid down, screw it all together. It's good to be able to take it apart and tinker with it..and it can be almost guaranteed the electrics WILL at some point need getting at for repair..virtually impossible if you glue it together.

Any idea where to place the screws? This box has 3 compartments and a lid that's completely seperate from the box. Not sure what to do here. The neck sits on the cut /slotted part of the tea box.

I'm with Chickenbone John on this I have only ever glued one and that was my first build, that was a big mistake.

me too, 3rd build tho' thought i had enough neck angle but no, pretty built too. hangs on the wall in the kitchen, a few degrees would have made it...

Thanks for the replies. Problem I'm having is where to place scews? Neck to slots on box? Seems fragile.to screw into slots /grooves and I would need long narrow screws? A brace of some kind to screw the neck in?
Here's some pics of the deep box

Should I cut out the support beams so I can put a second piece of wood to screw the neck to?

I don't have any pictures, but what I have done in the past is have an extra piece on the back of the neck for reinforcement that fits inside the box and screw through the side of the box into that. Another way is to add blocks to the back of the neck and screw through the back of the box as I did on the one in the attached picture. Hope this helps, there are lots of ways to screw it up. :)>

Thanks I'll probably do what you mention. It's just such a deep box and has those support beems being a tea box..

I glue small blocks of wood to the side of the box on either side of the neck and then screw right angle brackets to the neck and the blocks. It might not be the easiest way to fix a neck and adds weight to the guitar, but I always know that I can detach the neck if I ever need to. It doesn't look too pretty, but you can't see it from the outside.

Take a look at my most recent guitar.
