in the 2st pic here i try to get my layout so i don't coverup the honey on the box now i have learned that the distance from the nut to the 12 fret then from the 12 fret to the saddles does not match you need 3/8 more room to get the  intonation right so the guitar plays in tune below the 12 fret

holes cut for the pickups and thank god for the pickup rings lol i wanted to use a tuneamaci but the box was small so i had to go with a hardtail here i could have moved the neck out and used it but it would have covered the honey and i didn't want that more to come as i get along any help are idles would be thank you for your time

Instead of using a hard tail, you could use a smaller bridge piece, that would give you more room for the pickups... but a hard tail would probably give you better intonation...

 

Do you need a truss rod?  6 strings is a lot of tension on the neck...

ok in this pic i have cut 3 big holes in the lid so i glued some 1/2" thick wood in places to stiffen it back up and the middle one i left a gap for wires to run in i left a gap for pots on one

in this one i have temp the neck in it has to come back off for finish but this will help place the Bridge

i used a good metal straight edge down both sides of the neck to lay lines out for Bridge

now the neck can be taken off the last time and finish then put on for good while the finish drys i'll wire it up for sound more pics soon and thank you all
