Is there such an event? If not, why not!

A few of us here on the nation have made contact and are talking about a local gathering. An event to show our boxes, talk about them on every level and all that relates. I've seen related to this going on around or near my area, if there is I'd like information please.

It wouldn't take much to get it started, however if it turned into something big, I'm sure there's enough talent to step up to the plate and organize an event near St. Louis, at a local Deli, club or coffee house needing a few hour of interesting excitement.

If you have ideas or interest, post them here and lets see what develops.

Sounds like everybody is excited. As soon as my head cold subsides I'll be up for a Saturday practice, we can find a central location. Meanwhile, you guys go on and network and also think about your builds.

I'm string my up this week
Ok dose one among us have a cbg bass

We need to somehow form a list of talent within the forum here so we can correspond and collaborate.

Who plays what!

Who builds what!

There is still ground work to be done as far as communicating with our host as to who will perform and when.

Also how many vender spots will be available on a first come first serve. We've got the outline about 90% done.

I would like to band practice starting later this month.

I write, play guitar, harmonica and am open to musical experimentation. Beginners are welcome always as far as I'm concerned.

To be honest, I'll be so busy at the fest that I will be lucky to get in two songs.

There will be paid musicians and how much open mic time is still in the air at this time. I promise you I will try and have that info out soon.

I have a Whamola. It's a percussion bass using verifiable string tension on a double bass string electric pickups.

Hi guys... I live in the springfield area... build everything, but would probably bring mostly 3 and 4 string fretted and 3 string frettless.  I play mostly blues (chicago) and gospel (mix traditional) and original stuff.  I could play a set... MC if needed... or whatever it took to move the game along.

I build 3 and 4 string fretted play blues I say can sing ok or atleast not afraid too have an electric washboard right efx it can get pretty cool have a cheep multi efx petal and deay looper no mic though

i make 3 & 4 stingers, ukes, 1-string boat paddle basses, strummers and amps. Lots of crazy crap.

Ok now we got a bottom do you have any kick drums or stopmps

It's great to see so much intrest in the Festival, lets keep this building tell all your friends even if they don't know what a CBG is we'll teach them and get them addicted as well.

I should have few people from work coming at least 3 so far

Awesome! I'm looking forward to this! :O)
