  REVOLUTION

"The Cigar Box Beatles Collective"

My Rhythm track for the song, claim and record a verse and post it up!

Revised and tidied up version - if anybody can add a lead guitar it will be much appreciated! (-:

RIGHT CLICK ON THE "REVOLUTION" MP3 LINK BELOW AND "SAVE TARGET AS"....

REVOLUTION.MP3

Here's an example !

REVOLUTION%20example%20vocal.MP3

Remember the count-in cue is longer than on the original Beatle version just to give it a bit of space, 4 riffs then in...as on the above example.

REMEMBER just your voice, nothing else, though double-tracking is ok!

Sounds good! "The Cigar Box Beatles"...?

I could lay down a backing track and post it up, work out who wants to do which verse or line(s), or add some guitar licks  and each post it back with their verse on, ...?

 12 parts ok?

let me know who wants to sing a verse and we'll take it from there, will do a provisional backing track soon as i can (-:

I wouldn't do that, I'd put a decent count in at start 12341234, get people to count with you on their own track.. (The count is for synching the tracks) otherwise you're inviting disaster getting ppl to mix their own stuff back in.. You'll also find it much easier to chop up contributions to a line r two each
I can handle it if you like :)

ok PK give it a go - though i was planning on making an MP3 file that could be overdubbed on any sequencer like Audacity...?

Sure bud, but you don't want people overdubbing, you want the submitting tracks to synch with it and mix into it. Most any sequencer will be fine, long as they export to wav or mp3 and not use so e proprietory file format. I got logic and garage band myself..

Problem as I see it with what ur talking about is ppl making destructive changes (no undo) to the mix..

We can even start it from a standard midi file for the song, that might be the simplest, point everybody to the same midi file, they all jam along with that and send in a vocal track guitar track, bass, etc etc whatever and then put it all together, long as nobody changes the tempo or key or anything in the midi file should be golden. (don't misunderstand me,end goal would be to replace all midi tracks with real audio, it's just a mechanism to get ppl working and synced up with each other so it all gels..)

ok, can i delegate you to sort this one out PK?   post up the track when its finished, i might post up an mp3 track this week anyway to use as a guide (-;

Can I get in on this? I'd like to try the chairman Mao verse

The  more the merrier, Steve :)

As requested earlier, I'd like to do "Let It Be". CHEERS!
Henry how the devil are you??
Sure hope let it be gets the lOwman doom monologue treatment :)

hey Steve, I just noticed I'm not on the list. Did you remember I wanted to do Nowhere Man?

sorry Be it's there now (-:

cool : -)
