Nice. I saw a balalaika at the flea market last week. I would of bought it, but I need another 3 string like I need another hole in my head. LOL (I guess a lot of people here can relate) Did you know Russia had a school of classical music that used a 7 string guitar tuned to Open G (D-G-B-D-G-B-D). It is very similar to the standard 6 tuning (DGDgbd). Basically it is the four higher strings, stacked on each other. I use Dgbd tuning on my 4 string CBG. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
