This changes things

I listen to CBG on YouTube and CBN at work. It appears others Eaves Drop on my music. A co-worker comes into my office to "Chill" occassionally and he really likes the music. I like the old delta blues and just CBG blues in general. He likes the music where the notes are crisp and sharp.

I'd mentioned I had built two CBGs. He asked me one day if I build "those guitars". I replied "Yes".

He asked what did I get out of them. I said $75.00 unfretted and $100.00 fretted. Of course…

Building the Delta Box CBG

The Delta Box will be a Crocker production instrument.  I'm creating all the templates, jigs, components and hardware so I can assemble many of these at a time.  The complete opposite of what I usually do.

My first CBG / Joya De Nicaragua

Here's little something I just finished doing  - Joya De Nicaragua CBG. The first CBG I've made.



The neck and fretboard are made of mahogany. I made the neck with dual-action truss rod. Fretboard has 15' radius.    Nut is made of moosebone, The bridge/pickup is Ted Crocker flatbed combo customized by me. I removed the original brass bridge and replaced it with customized 2,5…

vintage boxes?

a friend told me about a flea market that had some cigar boxes....stopped in and scored a couple of nice ones, but the lagniappe box I picked up i think is vintage, but I'm not really sure. It has a 'Jockey Club' logo embossed on the top and front side. There is also a logo with a horse in it that says 'The Winner'. Anyone know anything about this particular box? It's not all that big, but I think it would make a fine ukulele. I'll try to get a picture of it and post it up so that may help.… Continue
