Not ever drilling through 1/8 inch birch before, the drill caught and ripped a chunk out. sandwiching it between two scrap boards could have prevented this. rather than tossing it and starting over I glued it back in to remind me to think or ask first.

I also love to Upcycle, Reclaime, Recycle & Reperpose items, hate to toss anything away. Have been labeled a HOARDER by family members.
