Howdy from central oregon. My name is Steve Dahm and i've been playin, buildin and sellin cbgs since may of 08. I've been wantin to build some sort of instrument for years, so when I saw Shane's sight I was hooked. Lately my designs are gettin kinda out there but gar-own-teed sound sweet. I also build custom cases outa all kinds a stuff, like old fencing, ladders, cardboard and such. I look forward to meetin new members and swappin lies.

Happy trails!

I see your online. How do you make posts here? This seems not to be like other sites for posting.

Thanks LBL!
I ended up looking around in the Internet and found some answers here and there. I was wondering what size the sound board is and also the size of the hole in the back. What size fishing line? What did you use for the tailpiece, to tie the strings to? Also wondering if you tried using standard 8 string set of ukulele strings? Do you think a piece of 1/8" luan plywood would work well for the soundboard? I really like the way yours turned out, looks great!

Thanks again,
Chuck

Okay, got it. Maybe on this site or elsewhere I saw someone demonstrating doing this. I believe they had reversed the blade so the were pulling the fret board from the inside of the blade towards them self. I did buy a packet of extra blades and one of them is heavier duty and I thought it might be a good one to try cutting fret slots with. Again, thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming a metal blade would be required.
