My Father showed me how to restring my 1955 'Mickey Mouse'6 string plastic guitar using monofilament and wood dowel to fashion some friction tuners. At 10yr. old I earned money for my first wood (laminated) guitar. I've always maintained my guitars. I saved a gourd that my grandmother cleaned cured and sealed like 40yrs.ago.I really want to make a 5 string banjo neck using hand tools and use the gourd. I have some CB's so I'm going to build a 3 string CBG and try to learn. Tons of knowledge and ideas on this forum and lots of fine folks. I'm stoked! thanks ~ Fretnomo
