It is great to find somewhere in England selling luthiers supplies instead of being referred to somewhere in America every time ! To be honest, that particular fret-slot saw appears to be what is known as a 'gentleman's saw' but with the blade reversed so that it cuts on the pull instead of the push strokes. Being as poor as a church mouse, I have always used one of those 'gentleman's saw' - as they usually cost less than a fiver - but with the width honed down on an oil-stone so the frets fit snugly.

Alan, don't know what you paid at Stewmacs but I bought a fret saw with guide from this place which I thought was a decent price. It does the job great and it's made in England!

hi fellow cbgers

Just a short note to let anyone know it was my birthday last week and my good lady bought me a fret saw with depth guide from stewmac, i dont know if anyone else has got one or matbe thought of buying one i must say i have been very impressed with this tool, i know its a bit pricey but i think its going to be very good addition to my cbg tools.
also to lesley that looks like a great start, i would like that print on a t shirt i think it would look outstanding i know its not for one but hey its got a great mystic sort of look i like that.
