Here's question . I have for years used Flat wound Strings on my Guitars supplied by d'Addario. This was after I heard the playing of Kenny Vaughn, guitarist with Marty Stewart.

Now the question.

Would not Flat wound sound better when using a slide ???

HI folks, just a shameless bit of advertising, but I'm now an official d'Addario strings stockist.and I have put together packs of custom gauge strings especially for cigar box guitar. Currently available are 3 string sets (nickel or bronzewound) for G - D - G tuning..and the Hollowbelly signature set for A - E - A tuning. It depends on each one Hep, The Patton one took about 12 hrs added all together, but on the really detailed ones you could double that.

Your artwork is simply stunning, they are all good but my favourite by far is the Charlie Patton.  Work like that must take you hours.

Thanks Hep, they are hand wound pickups from JuJu ... the guitars were built by Nigel McTrustry mate ... I just supplied the Boxes and the wood burning artwork..!!

Those all look fantastic John, real works of art.  What kind of pups are you using on them?  The way the bridges have been put together also looks great, do you have any larger images of these anywhere?
