Hey Guys,

I'm a fairly new builder. I've built about 30 CBG's, 1 Banjo, & 1 Lap Steel.

I'm from the mountains of North Carolina near Asheville. I've been here all my life and don't plan to leave.

I have 2 Banjos on the work bench right now.

I'm having a blast.

Hi all,

I'm BW.  I've been playing guitar for a bunch of years and still think I stink.  I cant seem to connect to the music.  Too much guitaristic crap and not enough groove.

I've been working my way backward to the roots of blues for quite a while, but again all the teachers get wrapped up in the instrument, modes and whatnot to distract from letting loose and playing.

So now I'm on three string therapy.  I'm going to build my own CBG (or three,or twenty) and tinker and play and hopefully really groove.

hi all onfortunatley when i signed ups i was lazy and signed under my missus email address so hi but my names mate,ive just found out about cigar box guitars and im currently looking to start assembling everything to build my first one i really like the diy music idea hoping to get some good ideas for my first one thanks matt

Hi,

Im Andrew,from Inverness Scotland,

Just made my first cbg , works not too bad,made from bits and pieces

around my home.its great to have another instrument to play. Ive played guitar in bands for some tears now,but alas im retired,and this is realy

got me going again.

Its great to be part of something that gives so many so much pleasure.

Hi folks - putting together my first CBG and have found some great tips and tricks from many members on this great site!

Have been messing around with guitars, banjos and drums for some years so not a stranger to the screwdriver, coping saw and soldering iron and looking forward to producing some interesting projects, love the sound of the CBG and exploring different types of construction...and playing the Blues!
