time for a little precussion....

here is something that showed up on facebook tonight.... quite a simple device but some quite complex rythms  easily achieved... the guy does 2 differen timings in each hand !!

Nice, Timothy! Tried these kinda things... learned I have very poor innate rhythm skills :(... But I still practice a bit.  Here's a great PDF on how to make your own - this technique was actually were easy and lots of opportunity to improvise, too.

Also known as  kashaka , asalato, banakuls, patica, kosika... and found in many world cultures.  There are _many_ YouTube vids and instructions to explore, also.
