The springs are used to adjust the height of the pickup. Put them on the bottom of the pickup where the mounting holes are and that will work.

As for the middle screw a pic would be nice but if the end 2 screws are enough you can leave the middle screw out, and touching the magnets would not hurt the pickup as it will still work, it would be like adding a 5th magnet.

I will have lower the area inside the body even more and make the area on the back of the top thinner to accommodate for the springs and their function. Haven't been able to get a photo from the phone to here.

So with the screws touching the magnates, the magnates will still  work independently ?

I am not sure how they work anyway. This is my first electric with mag pups

Basically the string vibrates through the magnetic field causing a change in the pick up coil, which when amplified produces the sound.

The locations of the screws should be fine and should not interfere with the pickup.

Plug them in and tap on the magnets with a screw driver and you should hear the sound. Good way to quickly test without putting strings on.

I've been winding my own guitar pickups, but I haven't done one for a CBG yet! So far, I've only used piezos in CBGs.

I think I'm just making this harder than it needs t be. I have done 18 builds all with the piezos and they were quite good according to my neighbor. He used to play with the Highway QCs and is a crazy good player. He takes all my cbg for a test ride since I cant play

Cant wait untill he takes this one for a ride
