now there's a good question! i never thought of trying that. i'm just tryin' to jump-start the thread, i'm sure it can be done. i'll be waiting for an answer along with you. cool idea!
I would also like to know. One way to find out is to 'do it and see' I will try it out on the new guitar that I am making.
now THAT'S how innovations come about! just do it! if it don't start smokin', yer on the right track. please keep us posted. GOOD LUCK!
I would have tried already if I had a clue how to wire it.
OK. solder wires everywhere to everything, then remove the ones ya don't need. how hard can it be? HA! i crack me up!
There is a good article in Wikipedia under "Guitar Wiring "

Do you mean a blend pot so when you connect 2 pickups to it and as you rotate one gets less as the other get more?
If yes the diagram is here

or drawn onto a pot to show which pickup goes to which middle lug (halfway down)

Thanks, David. The second link was exactly what I needed. Got it wired and it works great.
I have a license plate resonator CBG that is made with a motorcycle plate, so it only takes up half the box. I had the piezo mounted directly on the license plate, and the sound was too harsh for my liking.
So I added a second piezo and attached it to the wooden box lid. Now I can control how much sound comes from each piezo, and I can adjust the sound to suit what I'm playing.
learned something new today. thanks to all for your input.

i just bought a couple of blend pots to do this with a piezo rod and a single coil pup. I also bought some vol pots but they are A 10k much lower than the 250k i normally use, i know nothing about how these things work, will i be able to use these and what effect might i expect? any ideas/remarks please...
Hi Jabes,
I've never used a 10K pot as a passive volume on a guitar but somewhere on the comments board I recall someone tried a 50K pot with a piezo and found the sound was good. According to what I have read the lower the value the more top end/treble is lost so for a piezo it might be a good thing. Having had a quick search on the www there isn't much info regarding 10k pots for magnetic pickups - just the usual humbucker=500k. songlecoil=250K but then again if you go back a few years many of these guitar forums were dubious about using piezo discs as a pickup so who knows?
If you give it a go please report back :o)
Regards,
David
hi david, i was thinking much the same ,and just doing piezo only -1 rod in the bridge and a disc just forward under the 'lid' and still useing a blend pot well try it out anyway.
i'll use 250k for the mag/ piezo setup ... see what happens ,we could both do the same thing but a different box,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
will do. got 3 things guit wise going on ,
