Vintage chocolate biscuit tin three string strummer

A quick demo, just done on my phone, of my latest build, which is more or less finished except for a bit of tweaking.
The old tin cost 99p from eBay. The neck I think is Iroko, with ebony nut and bridge.
It has a rod piezo, right under the bridge inside the tin. It's fretted like a dulcimer or strumstick so is fun and easy to play : -) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqh-etL9ehU
Might take it busking tomorrow to give it a proper test out!

Be i tried using a flatpup with a Reso/cigar box build early this year,  electrically it didn't sound like a proper reso until i put a piezo in under the box lid....so your very nice sounding chocolate tin guitar is probably best as it is!   Flatpups seem to work well with wooden bodies, well the ones i've tried anyway. That has a happy, yet somewhat wistful tone...

thanks all. I was tempted to put a flatpup on it, but couldn't see where it could go without spoiling the look of the tin, or losing some of the frets on the neck. A rod piezo and no sound holes is pretty good for not feeding back though (want to be able to take it to open mics)

Looks and sounds great ! Those rod piezos give a lovely tone with a tin :-)
