Turned the cans around and made a raising plate.to allow sound to resonate off wood toile seat.. also note the small rubber washers on close uo picture.. if it works for a xylophone it will work for this one.. sound improved... needs fitting to a cigar box next!
Hope to use a metal bottom in the cigar box scooped to direct sound..might try a sping plate too...for reverb!!

It does sound better.  Nice and not the usual singing.   Hints of Rod Stewart and Neil Young in that voice.
