Thought I heard my baby crying - Bug & Mr Beat

Though I heard my baby crying
(Written By Bug & Mr Beat)

Thought I heard my baby crying
Thought I heard my baby crying
But it was a freight train coming
Coming on down the line
Passing through the whistle stop
The eleven fourty nine

Couldn't get back to sleep
Couldn't get back to sleep
My brain was whurring
Ticking with them ideas
Well its a quarter past midnight
And I sure need to get some more sleep

Thought I heard the front door slam
Thought I heard the front door slam
She's gone and taken her stuff
She's gone this time for good
Running to catch a train
The six fourty nine

I thought I heard a mouse squeak
I thought I heard a mouse squeak
I looked down to the floor
To see two eyes looking back at me
Well I shot the little bugger
Cause he's in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm just getting on top of telling my feet to do the right thing!... maybe next I will have to learn playing it with spoons in my mouth...whilst blowing a harmonica with my left nostril??

Bug and Mr. Beat,

This is a fine song.   Good lyrics and tune.  The last verse is a good laugher.

I think this song is so good you should wait a few days, lose the bug hat- maybe get a blues hat- slow it down a little and really let it rip.  This was a fun version, but I hope to hear it slowed and straight.

Nice git and sound too.
