thanks for the comments guys, it's actually a two string tuned to As. i shoot in my apartment that has horrible light, i like the clamp light idea, or i may just go on the back porch. I put pics of it on my page if would like to see it. thanks again.

That does sound like a one string and it sounds good. Hey, next time get a light. I use a self clamping metal light from a farm store that is for warming chickens! Cost about $8.00. Or get a reading light on a bendable goose neck. Or go outside on a sunny day. Good playing. Good wishes.
