Thanks everybody.  Was looking for a fun tune to add to the rotation - this is a good one.

Peter Rowan wrote this for the New Riders of the Purple Sage for their album The Adventures of Panama Red.  Later it was performed by Rowan in Old and in the Way like UJ says.  That's where I first heard it.   Rowan is a great singer and a cool dude.  He was also a member of Monroe's Bluegrass Boys.
